The Ford Focus has undoubtedly proven itself in rally terrains. Now the multi-award winning hatch-back is aiming to make a scene in green automotive propulsion, with the unveiling of the Ford Focus Electric at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2011.
Driven by: 100-kilowatt electric motor, with 23-kWh battery
(who needs a V8?) ( I do. )
Hp : 123
Torque : 181lb/ft
Range : 100 miles per charge
Charge time : 3-hrs (using 240V specialised home-installed charging station)
Who said green technology ain't cool? This baby's got an Aston Martin-inspired grille. That's right. Sell the brand that once belonged to you. Smart. Very smart.
The Focus Electric is effortlessly way more cooler than a boring Prius, the Chevy Volt, or a piece of Leaf. It's what the world needs; a decent, easy-on-the-eye, properly thought-out electric car from Ford. This is the full production version, by the way. 2011 Car of the Year, maybe? Definitely.
